Rachel Faulds is a profressional triathlete and coach with a deep-rooted love for endurance sports.
As a teen she excelled in running, and started a journey within the NCAA collegiate system, where she represented her University. However the environment in which she competed proved to be unhealthy and drained the joy and love she had for the sport. It was a challenging period in her life as she grappled with the loss of something that had been an integral part of her identity.
Driven by a hope to rekindle her competitive spirit she found solace in a new athletic endeavor, triathlon. She credits triathlon with reigniting her passion for endurance sports.
Triathlon has opened many doors for her, the most incredible being the opportunity to explore different corners of the world. She has participated in races across many continents, immersing herself in diverse communities, meeting fascinating people and experiencing vibrant cultures.

Origins
The idea for Travelled Triathlete came after a race trip to Morocco, where the local triathlon community inspired us. After being left bikeless (courtesy of our airline) with no access to reasonable alternatives, chances of getting to the start line looked grim. After learning about our troubles, the local triathlon community went above and beyond to secure a loaner bike from a fellow athlete to a total stranger.
The hospitality we experienced was unparalleled, and invited us to explore nearby regions even after an exhausting race day.
This experience left a lasting impact with us, and shortly after, Travelled Triathlete was born.
Our hope is to bring travel, connection, cultural humility and inspire you to challenge yourself.
Travelled Triathlete is about the journey of endurance, resilience, and embracing the beauty of the world, one race at a time
Vision
Travelled Triathlete is created and managed by Rachel Faulds and Nabeel Chirathodi
